Tracking round two of storms tonight
FRIDAY: Showers and storms will take a break through this morning. Temperatures make it back into the upper 60's and low 70's before another round of storms break out. This round too has the potential to bring some hail and damaging wind gusts to mid-Missouri. For the latest timing/details check out the Stormtrack Insider Blog.
TONIGHT: Storms look to fire this evening and slide in. Coverage looks to be more widespread north of I-70 as the warm front wobbles back through the viewing area. The main concern is large hail again with these storms but cannot rule out an isolated tornado.
EXTENDED: Storms will be ongoing Saturday afternoon but there looks to be another break in the activity. That break doesn't appear to last long as a cold front will sweep through and fire more storms up. These too have the potential to become strong to severe, but this is dependent on what atmosphere we have left in place. It will be breezy one way or another even after the storms push through with some gusts up near 35 mph. That will help deliver cooler air into mid-Missouri as temperatures tumble to the low 60's for highs on Sunday. We'll be right around there into the workweek as quiet weather tries to take hold, but rain chances Tuesday look to interrupt that.
