Showers and storms moving in this morning

storms

TUESDAY: Showers and a few thunderstorms will return to mid-Missouri this morning. The best shot at hearing a few rumbles of thunder will be south of I-70, but nothing severe is expected. Showers will continue into the afternoon before tapering off by the evening with highs stuck in the upper 40's and low 50's.

TONIGHT: Cloud cover will start to filter out toward daybreak, but hang on long enough to keep temperatures in the low 40's.

EXTENDED: A beautiful day looks to be in store on Wednesday, with a healthy dose of sunshine in store and highs reaching back into the low to mid 60's. We'll trade out the sunshine for a few more degrees on Thursday, pushing highs into the low 70's. Storm chances return on Friday, with a chance some could be on the strong side. Some of that showery activity could linger into Saturday, with cooler weather sliding in, with highs in the 60's.
