Tracking a windy afternoon
THURSDAY: Clouds will finish up thinning out this morning, bringing us a return to sunny skies that should last throughout the day. Highs will reach into the upper 50's and low 60's again, but it will be windy. A cold front will move in along with gusts in the 30-40 mph range. These windy conditions along with dry Winter vegetation will lead to dangerous fire conditions today.
TONIGHT: Those winds stick around overnight, pushing in some cooler air as lows fall into the low to mid 30s.
EXTENDED: Cooler air settles in for Friday with highs only expected to top out near 50. We'll recover just in time for the weekend with temperatures getting back into the low 60's Saturday, improving to the middle 60's Sunday. Rain chances stay away until Sunday night, moving in from the west. You might hear a rumble of thunder overnight Sunday or throughout the day Monday, but nothing severe is anticipated. It does look like next week will be more active than this one, with rain chances toward the middle and end of the week.
