Cooler day Friday interrupts a nice weekend
FRIDAY: We are in for a chance today as winds are starting to pick up this morning. Those gusts at times will reach up around 25 mph and will help carry in cooler air for this afternoon. Temperatures will struggle to get out of the upper 30s, topping out in the low 40s.
TONIGHT: Winds will start backing off by the evening, as we cool off into the upper 20s under partly cloudy skies.
EXTENDED: We bounce back on Saturday with sunshine sticking around and temperatures back near 50, into the low 50s by Sunday. We're continuing to track another cold snap that looks in store for next week, but Monday will still get into the low 50s thanks to a warm start. Our best rain chances look to move in Monday afternoon east of HWY 63. If we see moisture hang around into the evening or overnight hours into Tuesday, we could see those showers change over to some flurries, but still not expecting any impact at this moment. Cold air looks to settle into the region, with highs topping out in the middle 30s and overnight lows in the teens Tuesday night.
