Chilly end to the week, rain returns Saturday
TONIGHT: Clouds hold on, rain moves out. Patchy morning fog. Lows in the upper 30s to around 40.
FRIDAY: Decreasing clouds, partly sunny. Highs in the low 50s.
EXTENDED: Rain returns on Saturday as an area of low pressure to our south tracks northeast through the day. Rain comes to an end early Sunday, leaving us with our warmest day of the forseeable future with highs in the low 60s. Monday looks dry for now, but a punch of cold air will send temperatures plummeting into the 40s and low 50s for highs much of next week, with nights near or below freezing. An upper level disturbance will move in our direction while this cold air is in place sometime between Monday night and Wednesday night. Depending on the timing, there could be some wet snowflakes mixed with snow if the system were to move in at night. There is low confidence on the timing of this system, but right now Halloween looks dry and cold. Stay with ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather as we fine tune the forecast over the next few days.
