Tracking more sunshine with no rain in sight

THIS AFTERNOON: Mostly sunny and mild, with highs in the low 70s and a light southerly breeze.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear, with chilly temperatures in the upper 40s.

EXTENDED: Sunny skies stretch on through the end of the week, and temperatures gradually climb to the upper 70s by the weekend, around 10 degrees above normal for late October. No rain is expected over the next week, and we'll be awaiting a pattern change early next week that could bring a slight cooldown before Halloween.
