Tracking a warm and blustery afternoon

THIS AFTERNOON: Mostly sunny and warm, with highs in the upper 70s. Winds from the southwest will be strong at 15 to 20 mph, with gusts up to 30 mph possible.

TONIGHT: Cloud cover increases overnight, and lows fall to the mid-50s. Expect lighter winds from the southwest at 5 to 10 mph.

EXTENDED: Enjoy the mild weather while it lasts through Wednesday and most of Thursday, as storm chances will return by late Thursday. An isolated strong storm is possible Thursday night, but the highest risk will be to our west across Kansas and northwest Missouri, where storms move through earlier in the day. Showers and storms continue on Friday, with another chance of strong storms to our south. Rain chances decrease this weekend, but some showers can't be ruled out, and temperatures remain warm in the 70s. Storms return by Sunday night and continue into early next week.
