Tracking light flurries possible and a frigid Sunday morning

TODAY: I'm tracking a cloudy and cool rest of the afternoon as temperatures only warm into the mid-30s. Winds will be out of the north at 5-10 mph throughout the day before temperatures drop back into the low-20s by the end of tonight.

TOMORROW: I'm tracking clouds persisting throughout the day as the potential for light snow enters areas near Macon during the morning hours. This snow will mostly stay north throughout the early afternoon hours before entering areas near I-70 in the evening hours. Totals are only expected to be a trace to an inch at most for areas along and north of I-70. Temperatures will only warm into the mid-20s by the afternoon hours, so no melting is expected.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking an ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather Alert Day for bitterly cold wind chills Sunday morning. To learn more about this event, visit our blog: https://abc17news.com/news/weather-alert-day/2025/12/10/weather-alert-day-dangerously-cold-temperatures-late-saturday-night-into-sunday/. Sunshine will gradually warm temperatures up through the afternoon hours of Sunday, and this sunshine will persist into the start of the week. This cold won't last much longer than Sunday, as temperatures quickly bounce back into the low-40s by Monday, and into the low-50s by Tuesday.
