Tracking brutal cold and more snow this week

TODAY: Frigid with temperatures in the teens and low 20s. Winds from the north could gust up to 30 mph keeping the wind chill in the single digits despite afternoon sunshine.

TOMORROW: Light snow is possible Monday morning through the early afternoon, falling along and north of I-70. Totals could reach up to an inch. Wind chills will remain in the lower teens and single digits all day.

EXTENDED: Snow chances increase areawide into Tuesday with the highest totals trending near and south of I-70. This is where we currently have over a 50% chance of receiving 4 inches of snow or more. Aside from the numbers, snowfall will likely cause traffic impacts throughout Tuesday into Wednesday. Dangerous cold is expected from Tuesday through Friday morning with highs in the low teens and below zero mornings.
