Tracking a chilly Super Bowl Sunday in Mid-MO

TODAY: Mostly cloudy and cold with temperatures in the mid-30s in the afternoon. Expect a light breeze from the north between 5 to 10 mph.

TOMORROW: Monday is mostly the same with clouds and temperatures a few degrees higher in the upper 30s. Snow chances will increase late Monday night into Tuesday.

EXTENDED: Snow on Monday night and Tuesday morning will be light with areas to the northeast mostly seeing under an inch, but totals may push up to 2 inches to the southwest. A brief break is expected late Tuesday before a stronger system brings heavier snow on Wednesday. The track of the second system remains uncertain, with a chance for sleet mixing in south of I-70 and freezing rain to the far south. Snow totals on Wednesday are not dropping and could bring moderate traffic impacts midweek.
