Tracking a mild warmup to kick off the weekend

THIS AFTERNOON: Sunny and cold with highs in the mid-30s. Winds from the south add on some chill as gusts reach up to 20 mph.

TONIGHT: Temperatures fall to the 20s as clouds roll in from the north.

EXTENDED: Highs reach the 40s on Saturday as winds continue from the south before a cold front arrives midday. This leaves us cooler on Sunday when highs are expected in the 30s. This will be short-lived, though, as sunshine and highs in the 40s to near 50 return early next week.
