Tracking a mild afternoon ahead of rain tonight

THIS AFTERNOON: Mostly cloudy with highs in the low 50s. Rain chances track in from the north through the afternoon.

TONIGHT: Widespread showers in the early evening with another push of rain late overnight. Rain may transition to light snow flurries around sunrise. No accumulations are expected.

EXTENDED: New Year's Eve is breezy, cloudy, and colder with temperatures in the 30s most of the day. A few flakes may fall all the way up to the new year but conditions clear out Wednesday. Another chance of flurries is possible on Thursday from a passing clipper, and the weekend may hold more wintry precipitation chances. There is no way to determine weekend impacts at this time.
