Tracking summer-like heat to wrap up the week

THIS AFTERNOON: Warm in the lower 80s with constant sunshine.

TONIGHT: Not as chilly tonight with lows in the 50s.

EXTENDED: Temperatures warm further into the weekend, with highs topping out in the upper 80s on Saturday. A dry front will bring relief early next week, as highs tumble to the 60s. This cooldown could bring our first chances for frost, possibly even a freeze, by Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. No rain is expected throughout the forecast, and severe drought has returned to the Lake area.
