Tracking a brief cooldown and an areawide freeze

TODAY: Highs will be lucky to reach 50 degrees this afternoon behind a dry front. Winds from the north will be between 10-15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. These winds and dry conditions will lead to a low fire risk today.

TOMORROW: Monday starts off well below freezing in the lower 20s with morning wind chills in the teens. The afternoon is still brutal in the lower 40s.

EXTENDED: Temperatures will fall below freezing Monday night but conditions switch up quickly the rest of the week. Tuesday actually ends up the warmest day of the week with highs in the mid-60s. Clouds and rain return mid to late week keeping temperatures more seasonal in the 50s.
