Tracking a milder Saturday before a chilly New Year’s

TODAY: Sunshine pushes temperatures to the mid to upper 40s. This will be the best time to head outside this weekend ahead of a cold front tonight. Some flurries are possible Saturday night but will be few and far between.

TOMORROW: Clouds and cold return behind the cold front, with highs dropping a good ten degrees down to the mid-30s. Temperatures will fall to the 20s as we ring in the new year.

EXTENDED: New Year's Day sees more sunshine but highs stuck in the mid-30s. Temperatures return near seasonal averages midweek as a few disturbances miss the area. A better chance of precip may move in late week but confidence is low for now.
