Tracking a winter system bringing snow overnight
TODAY: Clouds build ahead of this weekend's system which keeps temperatures chilly in the 40s. The first precip will arrive after sundown by 8-9 pm as a cold rain. This quickly switches to snowfall in northern Missouri while remaining mixed along the I-70 corridor overnight. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from Marshall across to Paris and areas northward for snow totals between 1-2" and nuisance travel impacts as a result.
TOMORROW: Precip pulls out by midday Sunday, with another dreary day set as highs struggle into the upper 30s. Morning travel may be tricky in northern MO but should improve thanks to warm ground conditions.
EXTENDED: Monday is tracking to be the coldest day of the week with morning lows in the teens for some and another afternoon in the 30s. Milder weather is on the way midweek as we warm to the 40s and possibly 50s, but another round of precipitation is likely late in the week. As of now, there's a very low chance for wintry precip with that next system.
