Tracking dry air working against rain today
TODAY: Sunday will see nearly identical temperatures as yesterday starting off near freezing but still soaring to the 50s. But one noticeable change will be an increase in clouds today ahead of an incoming system. As you might also notice rain on radar today, this will likely be soaked up by low-level dry air, so a dry day is expected.
TOMORROW: Rain finally starts to reach the ground overnight into Monday, and it'll be a cold rain with temperatures in the 40s. Widespread showers are expected to last throughout the day.
EXTENDED: Light rain may continue through Tuesday with totals ultimately reaching above an inch for much of the area, especially to the south. Cold conditions will follow the rain midweek with highs in the 40s Tuesday and Wednesday. The newest forecast for Thanksgiving is now somewhat milder with a chance to reach the 50s, but extra layers will still probably be a good idea.
