Tracking rain chances to close the holiday weekend

TONIGHT: Scattered showers remain in Central Missouri throughout the overnight hours but the cloud cover will keep some warmth in the area. Lows will fall into the upper 50s.

TOMORROW: It will be a cool start to the day, but temperatures will ultimately warm into the upper 60s and lower 70s. Rain chances will be more widespread throughout the day, and some rumbles of thunder will join the mix.

Extended: Tuesday night through Wednesday morning before 7, we could see some light thunderstorms along with this system. By Thursday the low pressure system shifts east, and a high pressure system builds into the area allowing for pleasant weather Thursday afternoon. Friday we will be sunny and hitting our mark with a high temperature of 80. This weekend's highs will be topping out just above 80 and the chance for storms starts to increase heading into Sunday night.
