Tracking more sunshine and warmer temperatures Friday

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with a few spotty showers. Lows in the mid-40s.

TOMORROW: Gradual clearing and breezy west winds. Highs in the low 70s. Showers and thunderstorms possible after sunset, but no severe weather is expected.

EXTENDED: The low pressure system that will move across southern Missouri on Friday night will continue to influence our Saturday weather with continued cloud cover and temperatures falling back into the upper 50s. Scattered showers will continue through the afternoon before we being to clear out at night. Sunday will be much more pleasant with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s and plenty of sunshine. Next week is noticeably cooler as temperatures range from the upper 50s to around 60. Rain chances will be a bit more limited and mainly confined to the early part of the week. Total rain over the next 7 day will amount to less than one inch.
