Tracking sunshine and mild, spring-like temperatures this week

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and chilly with lows falling into the upper 20s.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and slightly warmer with highs in the mid-50s. A few clouds possible by afternoon, especially south.

EXTENDED: We're in for a nice quiet stretch with plenty of sunshine this week as the jet stream lifts north and pulls in warmer air. We dodge two storm systems this week with the first one sliding to our south and missing us Tuesday, and the second system sliding southeast Thursday into Friday. Parts of southwest Missouri have a chance at seeing rain Thursday night, but most of Mid-Missouri stays dry heading into the end of the week with temperatures reaching the upper 50s to around 60 degrees by Wednesday. Warmer weather sticks around into the weekend with highs in the mid-upper 50s and a few more clouds by Sunday.
