Tracking rain for parts of Mid-Missouri overnight, cooler Sunday

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy and breezy with rain likely for areas near the Lake of the Ozarks and I-44. Rain amounts could range between 0.25" and 0.5" for these locations. Lows in the low 40s.

TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy and breezy with highs in the lower 50s. Rain chances mainly stay south of I-44.

EXTENDED: Clouds retreat tomorrow night into Monday, bringing more sunshine for the start of our week. We'll be cool but the sunshine gets us into the low 50s on Monday. A weak disturbance slides by to our south on Tuesday, potentially bringing another round of showers or mixed precipitation to the southern half of the area...precipitation type depends on timing, but confidence is low in seeing precipitation at all given the amount of uncertainty and how close we are to next week. The rest of the week is mild with temperatures getting up to about 60 on Wednesday and Thursday. Another low pressure system moves across the Ohio Valley Thursday into Friday, possibly bringing another round of rain and/or thunderstorms, but yet again there's not much agreement between forecast models at this time, so chances stay low for now. We stay above average with the low 50s for Friday and the weekend.
