Tracking cooler temperatures the rest of this week

TONIGHT: Mostly clear to partly cloudy with lows in the mid-upper 30s. Light showers limited to areas near I-44 and south. Winds shift back north overnight as a cold front moves through the region.

TOMORROW: Partly cloudy to mostly sunny and cooler with a north breeze. Highs in the mid-upper 40s.

EXTENDED: A cold front with limited forcing will bring a few more clouds Wednesday morning, and about a 20 degree temperature drop behind it as winds push in cooler air from north. We stay quiet through the rest of this work week with the next disturbance skirting by to our south on Friday. Temperatures remain in the 40s for highs through Friday. Over the weekend, we'll see a wind shift back southwest, bringing us into the mid-upper 50s on Saturday, with plenty of sunshine. On Sunday, another system sliding by to our south will send showers in our direction, pushing rain north through the day. Another system could potentially impact the area between Monday and Tuesday, bringing the possibility of more precipitation with cooler air in place. Next week starts off in the low to mid-40s.
