Tracking warmer temperatures Friday, rain returns this weekend

TONIGHT: Mostly clear to partly cloudy with lows in the upper 20s.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny to start, followed by increasing clouds by afternoon and evening. Highs in the upper 40s.

EXTENDED: Clouds return Friday night ahead of our next low pressure system that will impact the Midwest to start the weekend. Rain moves in early on Saturday and lasts through much of the day into the evening. Rain amounts to about an inch are expected across much of Mid-Missouri. Temperatures will remain in the mid-40s during the day. Sunday will bring cooler air with highs in the mid-upper 30s. As low pressure moves east, there could be some scattered wrap-around snow showers during the day, but little to no accumulation is expected. We start off next week mild in the low to mid-40s, approaching 50 degrees again by Wednesday. Wednesday night into Thursday will bring another shot at rain, with a cool down returning by the end of next week into the weekend.
