Tracking frigid low temperatures, more sunshine Thursday

TONIGHT: Clouds gradually decrease. Lows falling into the mid-upper teens.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and cold to start, followed by highs in the upper 30s.

EXTENDED: Winds increase a bit on Friday from the south, sending us into the upper 40s which is about 10 degrees above average. I'm tracking another strong low pressure system that will move across the region on Saturday, bringing widespread rainfall on the order of 0.5" to 1" through Mid-Missouri into Saturday night. We'll be on the warmer side of this system as winter weather stays well to our north and temperatures get into the mid-upper 40s. We close out the weekend cooler on Sunday as temperatures fall into the upper 30s to around 40 for highs. Next week starts off quiet with just above normal temperatures in the low to mid-40s, followed by another chance for rain Wednesday into Thursday.
