Tracking rain Thursday, scattered storms by Friday

TONIGHT: Increasing clouds, more mild overnight. Lows in the low 50s.

THURSDAY: Chance of scattered showers. Mostly cloudy with highs in the upper 60s.

EXTENDED: A cold front will approach Mid-Missouri on Friday, triggering showers and thunderstorms for much of the area. Severe weather isn't expected, but we could end up with 0.25" to 0.5" of rainfall. Temperatures will cool quite a bit behind the front, with any lingering showers exiting early Saturday. Highs over the weekend will be in the 50s on Saturday and 60s on Sunday with more rain moving in by late Sunday evening. Next week is looking more active with a chance for showers and storms on Monday and Tuesday, and temperatures reaching the mid-upper 70s.
