WATCH: Blair Oaks superintendent checks in after first three weeks of school

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Superintendent Dr. James Jones of Blair Oaks R-II School District joined ABC 17 News This Morning to talk about how the return to learn has gone so far this school year.

Monday started the district's fourth week of in-person learning.

In the first three weeks of school, three students have tested positive for COVID-19, along with a Blair Oaks After School Y-Care employee and a middle school staff member.

The only case that resulted in close contacts having to quarantine was the middle school staff member. Fifteen students had to quarantine after they were identified as close contacts.

You can read the Blair Oaks R-II return plan below.

As of Monday morning, the elementary, middle and high school were all at a green risk level. This is the lowest risk level, which represents low numbers of active novel coronavirus cases in the community.
