Tracking mild temperatures through Friday, storms late week
TONIGHT: Mostly clear and comfortable with lows in the upper 40s.
TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and warm with highs in the mid-70s.
EXTENDED: Morning temperatures fall into the upper 40s tomorrow, with highs around 75 during the day. Thursday also looks beautiful and more than 20 degrees above average with highs getting into the upper 70s. A strong low pressure system moves into the region to our north on Friday morning. A warm front lifts north, pushing temperatures to near 80 in the afternoon with a higher fire danger as strong winds could gust to 40 mph ahead of a cold front. I am still tracking the potential for severe storms in the area on Friday afternoon into the evening, with the highest risk to our east. If we see a window of severe weather, the best chance will be after 3PM through about 8PM with storms developing and quickly racing east. The main threat for our area would likely be damaging winds. The cold front sweeps east by Saturday, leaving us with a cooler weekend with highs in the upper 50s to around 60 on Saturday and low 50s on Sunday. Next week is warmer to start with highs in the upper 60s by Monday and rain chances by mid-week.
