Tracking a brief warm up before the next arctic blast
TONIGHT: Mostly clear and not as cold with lows in the mid-20s.
TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and warmer with highs near 40. Gusty southwest winds up to 20 mph.
EXTENDED: Tonight won't be nearly as cold as lows fall into the mid-20s. We'll remain clear and breezy as southwest winds could pick up to 20 mph between tonight and tomorrow, pushing highs up to near 40 tomorrow. As warmer air continues to filter in, we'll see some fog developing Thursday night into Friday morning as warm air flows over snow covered/cold ground. Friday is our warmest day of the week with a high near 50, and rain showers look to hold off until early evening. The best chance of seeing more than 0.1" of rain will be east of Highway 63, and our chance of seeing any precipitation linger into Saturday is low. However, cold air will be settling in on Saturday with highs in the upper 20s, and morning temperatures on Sunday falling into the upper single digits. We'll see lows around zero between Monday and Tuesday with highs in the teens from Sunday-Tuesday. Wind chills will likely be between -5 and -10 all three of those mornings. Winds shift back around by mid-week, with temperatures getting back above freezing with continued sunshine on Wednesday. The rest of the week looks near average with dry weather.Â
