Tracking a warmer end to the week and little hope of rain next week
TODAY: Wednesday starts near freezing, and with calm conditions and sunny skies, highs can be expected near 60.
TONIGHT: A light southerly breeze returns this afternoon. Under clear skies, this keeps temperatures above freezing in most places, but some who are shielded from a south wind may have frost to contend with early Thursday.
EXTENDED: After a frosty start for some, and a chilly one for all, highs will reach into the upper 60s with a more potent south breeze and sunny skies. This warming trend continues under sunny skies, into the weekend. Expect highs in the 70s Friday through Tuesday. Saturday morning will start cool for those attending Mizzou homecoming festivities, but we'll warm quickly. We may start the parade in the 40s, but we should expect 70s during the game. Our best chance at rain is a slim one along a cold front that arrives Monday night/Tuesday morning. Some spotty showers and/or storms may be possible along the front, but overall expectations are for little rain.
