Tracking a noticeable cooldown

TODAY: Tuesday is one last day of heat and humidity before a prolonged break, as a cold front is expected to slide through this morning. Some will feel more mild in the north, but it stands to be a muggy morning and early afternoon for those From I-44 to Jefferson City. From Columbia, northward, we'll a shot at avoiding 90s. The humidity will gradually drop as well, with dewpoints falling into the 50s overnight.

TONIGHT: Skies are mostly clear overnight, with lows in the 60s.

EXTENDED: A prolonged period of mild air is in store through the rest of the week. Expect highs in the 80s to feel like 80s with low humidity, and daily sunshine through the weekend. Only a slim rain chance shows up early next week.
