Tracking isolated afternoon storms before more widespread chances overnight
TODAY: Isolated showers and storms continue to pop-up south of I-70 this afternoon and evening thanks
TONIGHT: A cold front arrives tonight, to bring another round of storms and a noticeable air mass change. Storms will arrive near midnight, and persist through sunrise. Arriving in the northwest, storms will exit near I-44. Severe threat with these will be low, but not zero. Any stronger storms would have potential for hail or gusty winds.
EXTENDED: Behind the cold front, our air mass will become drier and slightly cooler. We still expect highs near 80 through the weekend with sunshine Wednesday through Friday, but dew points will be quite a bit lower, kicking humidity to the curb. Rain will hold off until the weekend, when we pick up rain chances by Saturday morning, and may keep rain in the forecast through Sunday.
