Local organization condemns violence after escalation of Iran-Israel conflict
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
A local organization spoke about their concerns after conflict between Israel and Iran escalated this week.
ABC 17 News spoke to Jeff Stack who is the coordinator of Mid-Missouri Fellowship of Reconciliation who helps organize demonstrations for "Justice in Palestine." The group is made up of people from several religions, according to its social media. ABC 17 News spoke to Stack about the growing conflict between Iran and Israel and he said condemn violence.
"We're a pacifist group, so we condemn any military attack. We believe that any differences ought to be solved diplomatically, nonviolently," Stack said.
Last Sunday, Iran launched hundreds of missiles and drones against Israel. A majority of them were shot down outside of Israel's borders with help from the U.S. and other countries. Israel retaliated this week by launching missiles at Iran.
