Tracking warm air ahead of tonight’s cold front
TODAY: We're increasingly sunny today, with the addition of a south wind to warm us into the upper 40s this afternoon. A cold front approaches this evening to interrupt this warmup.
TONIGHT: Some extra clouds will enter from the north this evening behind a cold front, but skies will remain partly clear. The temperature drop will be the most notable change as we fall back into the teens to start Friday morning after a morning largely in the 20s to start Thursday.
EXTENDED: Friday ends cold, with highs in the 30s despite sunshine. Winds turn more southerly again on Saturday, becoming breezy. Winds warm us into the low 50s by Saturday afternoon, with a strengthening wind warming us to near 60 by Sunday afternoon. If that's not warm enough, we'll approach mid-60s by Monday. A cold front will approach late Monday, and pass through overnight into early Tuesday. We'll see a chance for rain with this cold front, but timing and placement is still changing with this, so stay tuned. We'll stay warmer than average through the middle of next week.
