Tracking slim rain chances and big temperature swings

TODAY: Monday is shaping up slightly cooler, with winds flowing from the north or northeast through the day at sustained speeds near 10-15 mph. Winds may gust as high as 20-25 mph today. Expect some high and thin clouds today to leave us with still plenty of filtered sunshine, so you'll still want those sunglasses. Expect highs in the low 60s.

TONIGHT: Broken clouds may linger overnight, with winds relaxing and turning mostly from the east. Temperatures fall to mid-40s by Tuesday morning.

EXTENDED: On Tuesday morning, a warm front will push in from the south, bringing more clouds, and a chance for a sprinkle or two. Morning clouds may have a chance to clear out by the evening on Tuesday. Expect highs in the mid-60s. Temperatures starting in the 50s on Wednesday, plus sunshine and south winds boost temperatures into the high 70s. We reach mid 70s again on Thursday, before a cold front approaches, bringing a chance for rain in the evening and overnight hours. Rain chances are relatively low, and rain totals are likely to be less than a tenth of an inch. Behind the front a big cool down arrives, pushing temperatures Friday afternoon into the 40s. Over the weekend, dry weather sticks and temperatures struggle to get out of the 30s.
