Tracking showers and isolated storms beginning late tonight

Today: Temperatures will continue to rise into near 80 degrees as skies remain mostly sunny. Winds remain out of the southwest.

Tonight: Lows cool to the upper 40s before scattered showers and isolated storms move in from the southwest after midnight.

Extended: Showers become widespread Tuesday morning with isolated storms possible during the afternoon hours. Tuesday night sees a lull in the rainfall before a cold front from the northwest drapes across Central Missouri firing up more showers and storms early Wednesday morning exiting by Wednesday afternoon. The chance for severe storms remains low, but strong winds will be possible with some of these storms. Cooler temperatures settle in Wednesday night as winds shift back out of the northwest. Thursday night into Friday morning, chances of widespread frost increase as lows dip into the 30s.
