Tracking a cool and wet week

TODAY: Sunday brings a break from the rain, and a return to temperatures more emblematic of early spring. Expect partly cloudy skies, and a high near 65.

TONIGHT: Temperatures bottom out in the low 40s again overnight tonight with more clear skies and a light north breeze from high pressure settling to our north.

EXTENDED: Monday, the high pressure to our north slides away, and we see winds adjust more southerly ahead of our next rain chance. Monday looks mostly dry, at least until the evening. Showers will return by the evening hours, bringing light rain through the overnight. By Tuesday, we're expecting overall heavier rain, with rumbles of thunder likely as well. With this said, a severe threat looks unlikely right now. Another system follows on the heels of this event, to keep rain a likelihood into Wednesday. Showers start to taper by Thursday, with the rain keeping us in the upper 60s and approaching 70 Monday through Thursday. Friday, we start to dry and warm, just in time for the weekend. Mostly sunny skies and temperatures near 80 are currently forecast for both Friday and Saturday. Before then, we may pick up another 1-2 inches of rain.
