Tracking scattered overnight storms with high pressure on the way

Tonight: Winds continue out of the south with scattered showers and storms remaining throughout the duration of the night. The main threat for these storms will be brief downpours and lightning. Storms begin to die off and turn into showers the later we get through the night.

Tomorrow: Showers taper off mid-morning on Sunday with skies slowly clearing leading into late Sunday afternoon. The high stays above average at 77 degrees with winds shifting from the south out of the northwest.

Extended: Monday will be mostly clear with winds out of the south cooling the afternoon high down to 76. Tuesday through Thursday, skies will remain partly cloudy with a small chance for scattered showers in the late afternoon hours thanks to a southerly moving low-pressure system that we will catch on the tail end. These scattered showers will be short-lived. Temperatures begin to increase once again on Thursday heading into the weekend as winds shift back out of the south with sky conditions remaining clear.
