Tracking pleasant few days before rain returns late week

TONIGHT: Mostly clear with lows in the lower 50s.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny with highs near 80 and low humidity.

EXTENDED: The next two days will be pleasant with low 50s expected to start off Tuesday, and sunshine sends us back to about 80 for the afternoon. As winds shift back south tomorrow, we'll see near average temperatures in the mid-upper 80s Wednesday. An approaching warm front lifts across the state on Thursday, sending temperatures back into the low 90s with more humidity. Showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop as the associated cold front slowly works through the region through late Saturday. Expect to see rounds of showers and storms from Thursday through Saturday, bringing 2"+ of rain and the potential for a few strong storms. However, details on any severe weather possibilities are still uncertain given the setup and timing. The ingredients look most favorable on Thursday and Friday at this point, so keep an eye on future forecasts for more clarity. The cold front clears the area on Sunday, keeping more of the precipitation to our south. Temperatures over the weekend range in the low to mid-80s.
