Tracking the return of showers and storms tonight

TONIGHT: Showers return before sunset with thunderstorms arriving later tonight. Some storms could bring heavy rain and strong winds, especially near the Lake of the Ozarks and I-44. Lows in the upper 40s with gusty winds up to 20 mph.

TOMORROW: Showers likely. Rain totals up to 1". Highs in the lower to mid-50s. West wind gusts up to 25 mph.

EXTENDED: Rain comes to an end Saturday night, leaving us with chilly temperatures to start out Sunday. Expect more sunshine by afternoon, leaving us with a nice day to end the weekend. Highs on Sunday get to about 70. Next week will start off somewhat active with disturbances sliding to our north each day, providing at least low chances of rainfall Monday through Wednesday. Temperatures will stay below average each day with lows in the lower 40s and highs in the upper 50s to around 60.
