Tracking much cooler temperatures and spotty showers Thursday

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy and cooler with lows in the mid-40s. Spotty showers possible, but the severe weather threat ends early.

TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy and chilly with scattered light showers. Highs in the lower 50s.

EXTENDED: Low pressure exits the area on Thursday night, leaving us with chilly temperatures in the mid-40s for early Friday morning. We'll see more sunshine during the afternoon, warming us back up to about 70 degrees. Another weak system arrives on Friday evening into Saturday morning, bringing a chance for a few showers. Rain exits early Saturday but lingering cloud cover will keep us cool during the day with highs in the upper 50s to lower 60s. The rest of the weekend we bounce back into the upper 60s to around 70 on Sunday with more sunshine. We're slightly cooler than average to start next week with showers possible Monday into Tuesday. Highs reach the upper 50s to around 60 through mid-week.
