Tracking strong winds, frigid temperatures overnight

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy and windy with gusts up to 30 mph from the west. Temperatures in the upper teens to around 20, with wind chills in the single digits.

TOMORROW: Temperatures remain in the upper 20s on Christmas Eve, with sunshine and wind chills around 10-15 degrees. Expect sunshine and breezy northwest winds.

EXTENDED: Christmas Day starts off bitterly cold as temperatures fall into the low teens along with wind chills just above zero. We warm through the afternoon as winds shift back south, getting us into the low 30s under sunshine. The weekend is much more comfortable with sunshine on Saturday as we get to near 50 for the high. Sunday will bring a disturbance that will add clouds and a chance for a few showers, followed by a chilly start to next week. Monday and Tuesday will be in the mid-30s, with another strong storm system moving in mid-week that could bring several types of precipitation.
