Tracking a cold night followed by light snow Tuesday evening

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy and cold with lows falling into the low 20s.

TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy and chilly with highs in the mid-30s. Light snow moves in after sunset, leaving less than 1" of accumulation mainly south of I-70.

EXTENDED: The weak system bringing light snow to Mid-Missouri tomorrow night will push east Wednesday, leaving clearing skies in its wake. We'll see more sunshine but cool temperatures remain as temperatures Wednesday afternoon only make it to the upper 30s. A nice warming trend begins Thursday as temperatures rise into the mid-40s, and eventually to near 50 by Friday. A weak front moves through Friday into Saturday, cooling us just a few degrees for Saturday afternoon into the upper 40s. Sunday will bring more sunshine with near 50 degrees in the afternoon. The warmer trend continues into next week leading up to Christmas as temperatures are expected to be at least 5-10 degrees above average.
