Heat is on this afternoon, storms and cooler weather by Friday
THIS AFTERNOON: Summer making a cameo appearance this afternoon. Impressive warmth and humidity for late October! Expect that warmth to continue through the evening, no jacket needed if you're heading out. We'll see clear skies.
TONIGHT: Cold front quickly approaches from the northwest and will push through after midnight. Expect quickly dropping temperatures and storms to develop for the morning commute.
EXTENDED: Have the umbrella and jacket ready out the door in the morning! It's going to be chilly, breezy and rainy with temps in the 40s. A few rumbles of thunder will likely continue into the morning too.
Saturday looks to remain on the cool side with a mix of clouds and sun. Temperatures in the 50s-- Sunday is a bit warmer, near 60, with rain showers developing by evening.
Rain will continue and expand in coverage on Monday-- we'll have to closely monitor an approaching arctic airmass as well. Snow may mix in with the rain into Monday evening, especially in our northwestern counties. No wintry impacts are expected at this time.
Cool weather holds on through much of next week.
