Heat lasts thru Monday, Tracking Cristobal’s impacts

TONIGHT: Mostly Clear. Low near 70.

SUNDAY: Muggy start to the day-- Temperatures near 80 by 9am. Into the 90s by 1pm. We'll top out near 93. Temperatures will feel like 95-100 degrees tomorrow afternoon. Drink plenty of water and wear plenty of sunscreen if you plan on spending extended periods of time outdoors.

EXTENDED: The warmth will stick around Monday, but increasing clouds through the afternoon should slow us from getting into the 90s. It will remain humid. Rain will quickly build into the area Monday night as the remnants of Cristobal track north directly over mid-Missouri. 1-3" of rain is possible in a short period of time. Localized flooding could be possible. An isolated tornado could also be possible due to the spin of the storm itself. We're expected to clear out by late-morning Tuesday. A strong cold from is expected to quickly follow behind Cristobal which could bring a round of severe thunderstorms into the evening on Tuesday. The main threats could include damaging winds, large hail, and isolated tornadoes.
