Tracking soaking rain tonight, snow possible Wednesday

TONIGHT: Rain builds into mid-Missouri overnight. The rain could be heavy at times and there could be a few rumbles of thunder-- especially south of I-70. A flood watch is in effect for counties along and south of HWY 50. Ponding on roadways is possible. Remember to never try to cross a flooded roadway! No severe weather is expected.

MONDAY: Rain will continue to be steady and heavy at times for the morning commute. Have the umbrella ready out the door. By the afternoon and evening, rain will likely start to lighten up. In total, 1 to 1.5" of rain is possible across mid-Missouri. Highs will be in the mid-to-upper 40s.

EXTENDED: Monday night into Tuesday will feature drying conditions. We'll also get colder Tuesday as a cold front pushing through the area. By Tuesday night into Wednesday, snow is expected to develop along and north of I-70. Accumulating snow is possible in our northern counties. We look to dry out to end the week.
