Columbia factory lays off 60 more

A spokesperson said the Columbia Watlow Electric operation had a “reduction in force,” handing out 60 more layoff notices Monday. Watlow announced at the end of April that it was moving more of its operations to an existing Watlow plant in Mexico. The initial round of layoffs in April left 41 people without a job.

Flooding closes bridge connecting Cooper, Howard counties

The bridge on Route 40 that connects Cooper and Howard County at Boonville is closed due to flooding.
