Body found in Missouri River identified as Hermann man

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A body found in the Missouri River in late February has been identified as a Hermann, Missouri, man.

Authorities pulled the remains of Russell A. Marrs, 59, from the river in eastern Missouri's Warren County on Feb. 25, according to an updated Missouri State Highway Patrol drowning report.

Marrs was reported missing Nov. 22, 2023, in Callaway County, the report says. The report says it is unknown when and how Marrs ended up in the water.

His body was taken to the St. Louis County Medical Examiner's Office.
