Mizzou Women's Basketball has snapped its three-game losing skid, behind a dominant outing from sophomore Grace Slaughter.

The Grain Valley graduate posted a game-best 29-point performance, leading the Tigers (13-13) to a 69-59 road win over Texas A&M (10-13). With Sunday's win, MU owns a 2-9 record in SEC action.

The Aggies built a lead as large as nine points, courtesy of a 10-0 scoring run in the second quarter. However, Slaughter supplied the spark that allowed Mizzou to rally from that deficit. Mizzou's leading scorer hit a three-pointer at the 5:17-mark of the second quarter, which swelled into an 11-0 scoring run that featured nine points from Slaughter.

Mizzou and Texas A&M were tied 31-31 at halftime, but the Tigers outscored the Aggies by 12 points in the third quarter to take control of the game. Slaughter scored 14 of her 29 points in the first 10 minutes of the second half to clinch her fifth game of the season with 20 points or more. She also ended the contest 9-for-17 from the field and 8-for-8 from the charity stripe.

De'Myla Brown and Abbey Schreacke joined Slaughter in double figures, scoring 12 points and 10 points respectively. Ashton Judd also flirted with a double-double, tallying nine points and a team-high eight rebounds.

Defensively, the Tigers put plenty of pressure on the Aggies. Mizzou forced 19 turnovers in the contest and turned those takeaways into 21 points. MU finished with nine steals, led by a three-steal effort from Brown.

Up next - MU begins a two-game homestand with a rematch against No. 15 Oklahoma at Mizzou Arena. Tipoff is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 16 at 1 p.m.
