Aijha Blackwell joins three other teammates in transfer portal

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Junior guard Aijha Blackwell enters transfer portal making her the third member of Mizzou's women's basketball team to enter this week.

Blackwell tweeted this morning confirming that she will be leaving Mizzou and entering the portal.

During her time at Mizzou, Blackwell made the All-SEC Freshman Team in the 2019-2020 season and was a two-time member of the All-SEC Second Team in the last two seasons. She averaged 14.8 points and 8.8 rebounds in her career with the Tigers.

During this past season, Blackwell recorded 20 double-doubles in 27 games this season and averaged of 13 rebounds per game.

Blackwell did miss two games last season due to not meeting team standards.

Three other members of the team entered the transfer portal over the last week including redshirt senior LaDazhia Williams, freshmen Kiya Dorroh and freshman Izzy Higginbottom.
