Mizzou falls 2-1 to Ole Miss, drops fourth straight SEC contest

OXFORD, Miss. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou soccer team now holds a 1-4 record in conference play after losing to Ole Miss 2-1 at Ole Miss Soccer Stadium. The Tigers have now lost four consecutive SEC matches by four combined goals.

Kylee Simmons kicked off the scoring in this contest with her 10th goal of the season in the 13th minute to give Mizzou a 1-0 lead.

However, Ole Miss scored two unanswered goals to seal the victory. Aubrey Mister tied the match with a long strike in the 27th minute, and Kelly Brady put Ole Miss in front 2-1 with a header in the second half.

Up next - Mizzou will look to snap its four-game losing skid with a home matchup against 13th ranked South Carolina. That match is scheduled to begin on Sunday, Oct. 8 at 3 p.m.
